I’m so excited that L.A. Girl Cosmetics came out with more of their Glazed Lip Paint! Now they have 18 beautiful colors in total. I finally got a hold of 4 of the 6 colors they FIRST launched and I have to tell you, they are amazing.
Formula:
I’m not a fan of scented or flavored based lip glosses. This formula has just a tiny pinch of peppermint which is perfect to my comfortability. Its not scented or flavored. You just get that tingly cool peppermint feel to your lip.
Wear:
I wear these lip paints over lipstick. I love the wear! They are so vibrant, glossy and pigmented.
Packaging:
The lip paints are in a squeeze tube. I love squeeze tube lip glosses because I have control over how much I wan to put on and I can “squeeze and go”. The applicator is plastic. I like this because its hygienic and if I squeeze too much, it can easily be wiped with a tissue.
I know many people say this is a dupe for the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick. But the formula is different. The Too Faced Melted Lipstick does not have “peppermint” formula. In my opinion, you CAN wear the Melted Lipsticks alone because the formula is thicker and of sticky consistency. Too Face Melted Lipstick has a felt tip applicator which may be harder to keep clean.
Ultimately, Too Face Melted Lipstick has longer wear than L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paint. You get the same amount of gloss and pigmentation from both. Just remember with the Glazed Lip Paints, for longer wear, wear it on top of lipstick. As for colors: Too Face has 10 colors and L.A. Girl has 18 colors.
